“It’s……..blank!!!!!” Naruto yelled, tossing the book against the wall.
“Naruto, calm down,” Sasuke sighed, “It’s just a book. And wall never did anything wrong.”
“We busted our butts to get this far and them when we think we’re done, failure is dropped on our heads! I don’t care what we have to do! I just want to get this over with!!!!” he shouted back.
“Naruto, yelling and shouting won’t help anything. We need to think of this clearl…..” Neji began, but he trailed off.
“I can’t believe you’re such an idiot Naruto,” Sasuke grumbled, flipping to the next page in the book. Underneath the first blank page was the introduction page.
“Oh, there’s more?” he asked, laughing sheepishly.
“Yes, there is. I’m taking this so you can’t throw it at another wall,” the raven-haired boy added, sitting back down. He flipped past the introduction to the table of content and looked up what he was looking for, quickly skimming to the page.
“‘How to change a vampire back into a human,’” he read out loud, “‘Once a human has been changed into a vampire, all signs of the transformation disappear. I.E: bite marks, injuries resulting from combat with a vampire, etc. Afterwards, the person changed will change their perspective. Anyone who was once a friend might become an enemy. There is only one way to reverse the change of that person. That is to stop.’”
   “Continue,” Neji said.
“I can’t,” Sasuke replied, “The rest of the page is missing.”
“What?!?!?! What do you mean missing!?!???!?” Neji blurted out.
“Like, the rest of the page was never written, missing,” he defined.
   “Great, now we’re stuck.”
“Maybe not,” Shikamaru mumbled, “Hey Sasuke, does that book say anything about how to get us out?”
“Why? We can’t leave until we change the girls back,” Sasuke said.
“That’s not the point,” Naruto growled, “They seem to be enjoying themselves, so let’s let them say. If they want to lock themselves in here, then they can.”
“And what about everyone else?” Sasuke pointed out.
“There’s nothing we can do about that,” Shikamaru answered, “We have to give up. There’s no way we can keep this up. We’re getting tired, and hungry. It’s about 1:30 in the morning. We only have three and a half hours until it’s over, and that’s not enough time. We don’t stand a chance. I can’t even figure out a way we can save everyone. Just face it; we don’t have the time, energy, or force to do this.”
“Naruto, Shikamaru, what the crap are you thinking? These are our friends. We can’t just leave them,” Sasuke hissed.
“Sasuke, look at it this way. We don’t have a chance. We’re no where near where we’d have to be to take all of them on, figure our way, and do all of it in this large house in three hours. It’s too much even for us,” Naruto replied, “I’m not agreeing with the outcome of this, but I can’t keep going, and neither can you. I have the most stamina here and I’m dead tired. There’s no way we can do this.”
“And what about Kira?” Sasuke added, “Are you just going to leave your sister behind? She’s your younger sister, and as he older brother, shouldn’t you be looking after her? But you’re just going to abandon her? What kind of person…”
Naruto cut him off. “How dare you think that I don’t care? I care about her, and it hurts knowing there’s nothing I can do. I don’t want to leave her behind, and I don’t know what I’d do if anything happened to her, but didn’t you see? They’re not our friends anymore. They tried to kill us. I don’t know what we can do.”
“We can try,” Sasuke said, standing to his feet, “There’s no reason not to try. If we can do it, then we’ll save everyone and get out of here. If not, we can go out trying. Who’s with me?”
“I defiantly am,” Neji declared, standing up beside him.
“If you two go charging in,” Shikamaru groaned, “I’ll have to come and help you out.”
   “You coming Naruto?” Sasuke asked.
“Of course I am!” he shouted, jumping to his feet, “There’s no way I could miss something like this! It’s going to be a challenge.”
“Right. We’ll go in a few minutes,” Shikamaru said, “Check your weapons, rest, and prepare yourself. We’ll go as soon as we’re all ready.”
